For its second edition, Art at the Geneva Center invites you to meet from December 8, 2022 to March 5, 2023. This collective exhibition slips into the urban space to punctuate its wanderings. The event aspires to create new encounters with art installations specially designed by contemporary artists.
It's not just a bench in a park or the lights of the skyline to take a break and admire the city. Art au Center Genève chooses to infiltrate the interstices of the city with original proposals. About twenty artists and collectives exhibit their work in arcades and showcases, a format that goes beyond the usual institutional framework. Art au center federates and promotes the local scene by also involving curators and mediators active in the region.
Each artist occupies a space that remains accessible to the public day and night, 7 days a week. Like boxes of a city-size game, these showcases can be discovered at any time and unfold from the Bergues to the Acacias district. The public discovers them by chance, by following the route step by step or by registering for the many meetings organized by the mediation team. The rich program of free guided visits extends over the entire duration of the event.
